Sun & Windows

It is 17:10 on Wednesday, January 16. It got dark about thirty minutes ago but up until then the sun managed to shine strong for the entire day, and for that I am utterly grateful. With much credit to the weather today was an especially good day.
5 things I liked about today:

  • My 3o minute walk to my 9am lecture was beautiful
  • During lecture I was put in a group with two girls both named Ashlea/Ashley and one of them happened to be obsessed with almost everything American (which was surprising but nice change in opinion)
  • Lecture was stimulating and was more like a seminar then an actual lecture
  • I was able to enroll in a photography class
  • I got most of the books I will be needing and they all look books I actually want to read
Its been a while seen I have seen much sun, but when the sky is clear one of my favorite evening activities is to lye in my bed and watch planes fly into London. Usually there are a couple every minute. From my bed they are pretty small and I can barely hear their distant rumble. I wonder where the planes are coming from, who is in them and if anyone is looking down at my building as I'm looking up at their plane?
Around 4:30 the planes begin to drag a pink stream behind them giving a small hint of sunset.
I cant see the sunset directly from my window but if I look to the apartment building across from my flat at the third apartment from the end I can catch it's reflection in the windows.

London Outing

These are several pictures from our "photo frenzy" in London. The picture of the man in hat I took by Westminster Abbey where there has been an antiwar protest going on for years.
