Jim's mom used to feed the pigeons on the green in downtown New Haven. She would hold out her arms and they would land all over her, even on her head. It scared me actually (I was probably 6 at the time), but it was amazing, and she clearly loved every minute of it. Anyway, your video took me back to New Haven fifty odd years ago. Thanks. It was lovely - both the memory and the video. Love, Dad

Annie, I'm so impressed with your skills and your creativity and the way you capture such amazing moments in a person's life.
Mab's birthday card is amazing. I've wtached both of them twice so far. Its so good to see you. I love how much fun you and Oliver have. Donna watched both of them with me really enjoyed them. We laughed all the way through the BD one.
Hi Annie, Your video reminds me of the "feed the birds" song & scene from Mary Poppins. Well done you! I hope you are having a wonderful adventure. Love, Andi
Annie, I just found your blog. What fun! I loved your bird video. In addition to agreeing with all the other comments, I commend your excellent eye for interesting subject matter right outside your window! Keep on having fun! Riki
What I loved about this video is the beauty that you recognized in the woman's simple act of feeding the birds. Her sowing motions with the bread establishes a rhythm and the birds fly back and forth like a surprise. The day passes with light and shadows, all with the poignance of time. What a terrific way to spend an afternoon, seeing then making beauty.
